1. Agreement to Terms
By accessing our website, entering our facility, or using any of our services — including self-service laundry, Wash-Dry-Fold ("WDF" or "Fluff & Fold"), and Pickup & Delivery — you ("Customer," "you," or "your") agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use our services.
Gundo Laundry ("we," "us," "our," or "the Company") reserves the right to update or modify these Terms at any time without prior notice. Your continued use of our services following any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. The most current version will always be posted on our website at www.gundolaundry.com.

2. Services Offered
Gundo Laundry provides the following services:
Self-Service Laundry: Coin- and card-operated washers and dryers available for customer use at our El Segundo facility.
Wash-Dry-Fold (Fluff & Fold): Full-service laundry where we wash, dry, and fold your items on your behalf.
Pickup & Delivery: Scheduled laundry pickup and delivery to your designated address.
We reserve the right to refuse service to any individual at our sole discretion, including but not limited to circumstances involving misconduct, property damage, or violation of these Terms.

3. Self-Service Laundry
3.1 Use of Equipment
Customers use all equipment at their own risk. You are responsible for selecting the appropriate wash cycle, water temperature, and dryer setting for your garments. We strongly recommend reading all garment care labels before laundering.
3.2 Prohibited Items
The following items are strictly prohibited from being washed or dried in our machines:
Items containing fuel, oil, paint, solvents, or flammable substances
Excessively soiled items that may damage machines or contaminate other customers' laundry
Animal waste-soaked items (in standard machines; please ask about our pet laundry protocols)
Rugs, mats, or items with rubber backing (unless in designated machines)
Sleeping bags or items exceeding posted machine capacity limits
Introduction of prohibited items may result in damage to our equipment and/or other customers' laundry, for which you may be held financially liable.
3.3 Machine Malfunctions & Refunds
If a machine fails to operate after payment is accepted, please notify an attendant immediately. We will make commercially reasonable efforts to remedy the issue or provide a refund or credit for the affected cycle. We are not responsible for any secondary loss (e.g., time, inconvenience) resulting from equipment malfunction.
3.4 Garment Damage
We are not responsible for damage to garments caused by customer misuse of equipment, including but not limited to selecting incorrect water temperatures, overloading machines, or failure to separate items appropriately. In the event a machine malfunctions and causes verifiable damage to garments during normal and proper use, claims must be submitted in writing within 48 hours of the incident, with proof of the garment's prior condition and approximate value.
3.5 Unattended Laundry
We are not responsible for garments left unattended in machines or on folding tables. Completed laundry left in machines for more than 15 minutes after cycle completion may be removed and placed on available surfaces by attendants or other customers. Items left on our premises for more than 24 hours may be donated or discarded without notice. We are not liable for lost, stolen, or damaged items left unattended.
3.6 Personal Property
Gundo Laundry is not responsible for the loss, theft, or damage of personal property — including wallets, phones, bags, keys, or other personal items — brought onto our premises. Customers are responsible for their own belongings at all times.
3.7 Children and Minors
Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied and supervised by an adult at all times while on our premises. We are not responsible for injuries sustained by unsupervised minors.

4. Wash-Dry-Fold (Fluff & Fold) Service
4.1 Item Submission
By submitting items for WDF service, you authorize Gundo Laundry to launder them using our standard commercial processes. It is your responsibility to remove all items of value (cash, jewelry, identification documents, electronics, etc.) from pockets, bags, or bundled clothing before drop-off. We are not responsible for any such items left in submitted laundry.
4.2 Care Labels and Special Instructions
We process all WDF items using standard industry practices. While we make reasonable efforts to follow garment care labels, we cannot guarantee individualized sorting by fabric type, color, or temperature preference unless special instructions are communicated at drop-off in writing. We are not responsible for damage resulting from garments with missing, illegible, or non-standard care labels.
4.3 Items We Will Not Launder
We reserve the right to refuse to process any items we deem inappropriate, unsanitary, excessively soiled, or likely to damage our equipment or other customers' items. Examples include but are not limited to: heavily soiled workwear, bedding contaminated with bodily fluids, items with strong chemical odors, and items beyond our equipment capacity. Such items will be returned to you unwashed.
4.4 Liability for Garment Damage or Loss
We take care in processing your items; however, by accepting our WDF service, you acknowledge that laundering inherently carries risk, including potential shrinkage, color fading, bleeding, pilling, or structural changes to certain fabrics. Our liability for any lost or damaged garment is limited to a maximum of ten (10) times the per-pound processing fee paid for that order, regardless of the garment's actual or claimed value. This limitation applies even if we are advised of the potential value of the item prior to processing.
We are not liable for:
Damage to items with pre-existing wear, weak seams, or structural fragility
Color transfer between garments
Shrinkage of items not laundered per care label due to undisclosed fabric composition
Items processed without care labels
Normal wear resulting from the laundering process
4.5 Inspection at Pickup
You are responsible for inspecting your items at the time of pickup or delivery. Any claims for lost or damaged items must be made at the time of pickup or, for delivery orders, within 24 hours of confirmed delivery. Claims made after this period will not be accepted.
4.6 Pickup Deadline for WDF Orders
WDF orders not picked up within 7 days of being marked ready will be assessed a daily storage fee of $5 per bag. Orders unclaimed after 30 days will be donated to a local charity without further notice. No refunds or credits will be issued for donated items.
4.7 Payment
Payment for WDF services is due at drop-off or upon delivery, depending on the method selected. We reserve the right to withhold completed laundry until payment is received in full.

5. Pickup & Delivery Service
5.1 Service Area
Pickup & Delivery is available within our designated service zone. We reserve the right to modify the service area at any time. Addresses outside the active service zone will not be serviced, and orders placed for out-of-zone locations will be cancelled with a full refund.
5.2 Scheduling
Pickup and delivery windows are estimates only. We are not liable for missed pickup or delivery windows due to traffic, weather, equipment issues, staffing constraints, or other circumstances beyond our control. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you of delays.
5.3 Customer Responsibilities
You are responsible for:
Ensuring laundry is bagged and ready at the agreed pickup time and location
Providing a secure and accessible pickup/delivery location
Ensuring someone is present to accept delivery, or explicitly authorizing contactless/unattended delivery in writing (via order instructions)
We are not responsible for items left outside that are lost, stolen, or damaged after delivery, whether or not contactless delivery was authorized.
5.4 Missed Pickups
If our driver arrives at the scheduled pickup location and is unable to access the laundry (no answer, inaccessible location, no laundry present), a missed pickup fee of $10 may be assessed. Rescheduled pickups are subject to availability.
5.5 Contactless Delivery
If you authorize contactless delivery, your items will be left at the designated location at your sole risk. Gundo Laundry is not responsible for lost, stolen, or weather-damaged items following confirmed delivery.
5.6 Incorrect Address
If an incorrect delivery address is provided, we will make one (1) attempt to contact you. If we are unable to reach you within a reasonable window, the order will be returned to our facility and a re-delivery fee may apply.
5.7 Delivery Liability
Our liability for Pickup & Delivery orders is subject to the same limitations set forth in Section 4.4 regarding garment damage and loss. Risk of loss for your items passes to you upon confirmed delivery.
5.8 Cancellations
Orders may be cancelled without charge up to 4 before the scheduled pickup. Cancellations made after that window may be subject to a cancellation fee.

6. Payment Terms
6.1 Accepted Payment Methods
We accept cash (where applicable), credit/debit cards, and loyalty card systems. Accepted methods may vary by service type and are subject to change.
6.2 Pricing
All prices are subject to change without notice. Current pricing is available at our facility and on our website. Prices displayed at time of order will be honored for that order.
6.3 Refunds
Refunds are issued at our sole discretion and only for documented equipment malfunctions or verifiable service failures. Refunds will not be issued for subjective dissatisfaction with results when service was rendered using standard industry practices. Approved refunds will be processed within 5–10 business days.
6.4 Chargebacks
If you initiate an unauthorized chargeback with your financial institution, we reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to our services and pursue the disputed amount through all available legal remedies.

7. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, GUNDO LAUNDRY SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF USE, OR LOSS OF GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF OUR SERVICES, WHETHER BASED ON WARRANTY, CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), STRICT LIABILITY, OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY.
OUR TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY AND ALL CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO OUR SERVICES SHALL NOT EXCEED THE TOTAL AMOUNT PAID BY YOU FOR THE SPECIFIC SERVICE ORDER GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.

8. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Gundo Laundry, its owners, employees, agents, contractors, and successors from and against any and all claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your use of our services; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any applicable law or third-party right; or (d) any damage you cause to our equipment, premises, or other customers.

9. Premises and Personal Safety
You enter and use our premises at your own risk. While we maintain our facility to reasonable safety standards, we are not liable for injuries resulting from customer negligence, failure to follow posted instructions, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control. You are responsible for your own safety and the safety of any minors in your care while on our premises.

10. Lost & Found
Items found on our premises will be held for a period of 14 days. After 14 days, unclaimed items may be donated or discarded. To inquire about a lost item, contact us at hello@gundolaundry.com. We are not liable for items not recovered within the holding period.

11. Privacy Policy
By using our services, you consent to our collection and use of personal information (including name, address, phone number, and payment data) as described in our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. We do not sell your personal information to third parties. Pickup & Delivery customers' address and contact information is used solely for the purpose of fulfilling service orders.

12. Intellectual Property
All content on our website and marketing materials — including the Gundo Laundry name, logo, taglines, photography, and written content — is the intellectual property of Gundo Laundry and may not be reproduced, copied, or distributed without our prior written consent.

13. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any dispute arising from or related to these Terms or our services shall be resolved first through good-faith negotiation. If a resolution cannot be reached within 30 days, disputes shall be submitted to binding arbitration in Los Angeles County, California, under the rules of the American Arbitration Association. You waive any right to participate in class action litigation or class-wide arbitration.
Nothing in this section prevents either party from seeking emergency injunctive relief in a court of competent jurisdiction.

14. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable under applicable law, that provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, or severed if modification is not possible. The remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

15. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any posted service policies, constitute the entire agreement between you and Gundo Laundry with respect to your use of our services and supersede all prior agreements, representations, or understandings.
